Frequently Asked
Questions we hear all the time.
How much does it cost to hire the firm?
For personal injury and workers' compensation cases we work on a contingency fee, which means you pay no attorney fee unless we recover for you. The initial consultation is always free.
How long do I have to file a claim in Illinois?
For most personal injury claims, Illinois sets a two year deadline from the date of injury, though important exceptions apply. Workers' compensation has its own notice and filing deadlines. Because these limits are strict, it is best to speak with an attorney early.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Anything you already have, such as a police report, photographs, insurance information, medical records or bills, and correspondence from any insurer. If you do not have these yet, that is fine. We can help you gather them.
Do I have to go to court?
Most cases resolve through settlement without a trial. We prepare every case as if it will be tried, which is often why the other side offers fair value. If a trial is necessary, we are ready.
